United Airlines will add 10 new flights between the Islands and the Mainland this summer. Including 4 new flights to Maui.

Mike Navares, general manager in Hawaii for Chicago-based United (Nasdaq: UAUA), who announced the additional flights Friday, also said that the carrier has no plans to cut Mainland-Hawaii routes below its normal number this fall.

Beginning June 15, United will add three daily flights into Honolulu, four into Maui, two to Kauai and one to Kona on the Big Island.

United said it will return to 20 flights a day in the fall.

Navares said the Hawaii market remains strong despite record-high jet fuel costs.

United is the world's second-largest air carrier and the largest U.S. carrier serving Hawaii.
